What is Hypnosis?
_Hypnosis is a normal state of being. The brain has four
states - Full Conscious Awareness, Hypnotic State, Dream State and Sleep State. We spend most of our waking hours in the Full Conscious Awareness. We use logic to evaluate, judge and make
decisions in this state of mind. We are attentive. In
Hypnosis you enter a hypnotic
state. It is entry to the subconsious mind. You are more
open to suggestions. This is where
memories become easily accessible and new information is
stored. During hypnosis you access the subconscious mind
and you experience it without being critical or judgemental.
You are very focused and in a very relaxed state.
The outer conscious mind relaxes so through the subconscious we
can change habits like smoking and replace old patterns of
behaviour with new healthier ones. When dreaming, you are in a trance or hypnotic state. Hypnosis
is natural and something that we all do. A Hypnotherapist helps your desire to make changes.
